About C‑45
C‑45 is an unalloyed medium carbon steel, which is also known as general carbon engineering steel. This grade offers good tensile strength with machining capabilities. C‑45 can be induction hardened to produce a good surface hardness with moderate wear resistance. This grade is generally supplied in hot rolled or in normalised condition.
