EN‑41B is a Chromium Aluminum Molybdenum nitriding steel, also known as nitriding steel. In nitriding treatment, it is hardened to a certain dept according to the application to increase surface hardness, wear resistance, impact load, toughness and ductility which are achieved by the presence of the nitriding layer. EN‑41B alloy steel is usually supplied in hardened and tempered condition.
