About EN‑24

EN‑24 is a nickel chromium molybdenum based alloy steel. EN‑24 alloy steel is a readily machinable material both in annealed or hard and tempered condition, widely used as engineering steel due to its tensile strength. This material along with high tensile strength provides a combination of shock resistance, ductility and wear resistance. EN‑24 in hard and temper condition also retains its good impact properties at low temperatures.

Applications

Gears, High Strength Shafts, Punches & Dyes, Drill Brushings, Retaining Rings, Axles, etc
